This Profile Welding Lathe by Contour Arc is designed to follow the irregular shape of a saddle weld on a tube. Originally developed for the automotive industry, this machine was used to weld ports into various vacuum tubes and EGR systems. The torch is mechanically actuated based on the installed cam. This machine can be outfitted to handle a variety of parts and profiles by changing the tooling and cams. The machine is equipped with a Miller S-64 wire feeder. Let us add a power supply out of our inventory or use one of your own to complete this package. This lathe is outfitted with a tailstock on an adjustable slide to handle parts up to 26″ long. The MIG torch is mounted to a set of X and Y cross slides to provide a fine adjustment of torch position. This lathe is built into a welding cell which has curtains to protect the operator and nearby personnel from welding arc rays.
